Muskathlon Indonesia 2020 21 km
FIGHT POVERTY / PROVIDE HOPE Worldwide, 385 million children live in extreme poverty. Poverty robs children of their basic rights to learn, play and grow. In its ugliest form, poverty can lead to exploitation, child labour and even death. As a father this tears me apart. Hope is a simple word and yet can hold so much meaning to those going through a difficult time. It can mean the difference between hanging on and giving up. It can mean a tiny smile in the face of a devastating diagnosis. It can be the difference between having a light to guide you forward or having darkness that swallows you up. I am undertaking self-funded travel to Sumba Indonesia in June 2020 to spend a week among communities facing poverty, witnessing their daily struggles and hearing their stories. I want to help deliver the message that others around the world care. My week wraps up with a 21.5km marathon running through villages. Join me on this message of hope. Partnering with Compassion Australia we are seeking your support for child sponsorship or donation. Take a step to help make a difference as I take my 33,000 steps during my run. My target is $10,000. Thank you.
